Shipping Policy
Last reviewed: 5 August 2026. This policy will be finalised with legal counsel before public launch, but the substance below reflects how shipping works on Avarius today.
Brand-fulfilled shipping
Avarius does not hold stock and does not operate a central warehouse. Every order is packed and shipped directly by the brand that made it. This is a deliberate part of how the marketplace works — it keeps brands close to their customers and lets each brand handle their product with the care it deserves.
Choice of courier
Most orders are booked automatically through Avarius's Bob Go courier account at checkout, which selects from a range of South African couriers for you to choose between based on price and speed. Some brands arrange their own delivery instead, using a courier of their own choice — The Courier Guy, Pargo, PostNet, or another provider. The courier used for your order will be reflected on your order confirmation and dispatch notification.
Delivery times
Because fulfilment is handled brand by brand, delivery times vary depending on the brand, the courier they use, and your delivery destination. As a general guide, most orders within major metro areas arrive within 3 to 7 business days of dispatch, and outlying areas may take longer. Estimated delivery windows, where available, are shown on the product or brand page.
Order tracking
Once a brand marks your order as dispatched, you will receive a notification with tracking information (where the courier used provides it). You can also check your order status at any time from your Avarius account.
Shipping costs
Shipping costs are set by each brand and shown at checkout before you complete your purchase. Some brands may offer free shipping over a certain order value.
Delayed or missing deliveries
If your order hasn't arrived within the expected window, contact the brand directly using the details on your order confirmation. If you can't reach a resolution, email hello@avarius.store with your order number and we will help follow up.
